The sex was actually hot. A older male teacher using his authority to get his way with a young attractive freshman student failing his class. Everyone was happy in the end. There were a couple of issues for me. The switching of personal pronouns is a big no no for me. Using feminine personal pronouns in gay erotica is so annoying. This author did it more than once, so lost a star. Then there were inconsistencies in the story, which also happened more than once. A note to author: PLEASE PROOF-READ YOUR WORK. Gay for the Grade is the short erotic story of Steve, the straight college student who is desperately in need of a passing grade in calculus and the professor that is going to make him earn his grade in a very hard way.
So I picked up this title for one reason, the name of the book. I was perusing student/teacher romances and stumbled upon this one and decided to give it a go.
Now, there were some issues with the editing in this but like, porn – I was not reading this for a life changing experience. I wanted to be entertained and on that front, this one did its job. The writing could have had a bit more to it, but the sexy-times were steamy. There is just something that makes a m/m romance a bit hotter when one of those men aren’t really aware of their sexuality. Steve had spent his high school days allowing gay students to tutor and touch him, but even when he finds himself sizing up his professor and taking in the way his body fills out his suit, Steve isn’t concerned that there is any attraction to the men... but that is all going to change when the hot teacher puts the moves on Steve and he finds himself asking for more than an A by the end of the night.
